How to choose a chiropractor
When selecting a chiropractor, take time to find a DC who:
– Is recommended by your physician, other health care professionals or friends.
– Has experience treating your specific condition or symptoms.
– Is board certified if you need specialized care in areas such as such as chiropractic neurology, chiropractic rehabilitation, chiropractic orthopedics or chiropractic pediatrics. Board certification indicates the DC has completed studies and testing beyond those required to be a Doctor of Chiropractic.
– Is willing to work with your other physicians as part of your medical team.
– Uses diagnostic tools such as x-rays, ultrasound and paraspinal digital infrared imaging.
– Offers holistic, preventive care and counsel.
– Will provide an initial consultation free-of-charge.
– Doesn’t claim that chiropractic treatment will cure an alphabet soup of medical conditions.
You also can get names of Doctors of Chiropractics in your area from the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) web site at www.AcaToday.org or by calling, toll-free (800) 986-4636. You also can contact your state’s chiropractic association. State contact information is posted at the ACA web site.

Can I register my litter with AKC if the sire is AKC, but the female is ACA?!?
I have two purebred boxers. The male is AKC certified, but the female was bought for us from a petstore, and the papers that came with her, are ACA. I’ve read that the ACA is for petstore owners and that any breed (purebred or not) can be registered with this club. My female just had a litter of pups (from my male), but when I called AKC, they said that I couldn’t register the litter with them! This is so terrible! Is there ANYTHING else that I can do to get them registered with AKC, or am I just stuck with this other non-prestigious club (ACA)?
I have two boxers. One male and one female. Both dogs were bought as gifts for us, when we bought our new home. As we scheduled and waited for an appointment for our female to get spayed, they mated. Now we have a litter of eight. My male is AKC registered, but the female’s paperwork is ACA. AKC is telling me that the pups cannot be registered. Is there anything that can be done, to get them registered?
Shame on you for contributing to pet overpopulation.
I hope you are prepared to take any of these pups back into your life at any time and for any reason.
People like you ARE the pet overpopulation problem and are the driving force for the animal rights nuts to try to take our dogs away from us.
AB1634 in California-The Pet Extinction Act- has been brought about because of careless people breeding dogs. Not the reputable breeders.
Of course the AKC will not register them.
Now do the right thing and spay the female, neuter the male, and do NOT place the puppies until you have fixed each and everyone of them.
