Diamond Band
What are the odds of making it into the Temple Diamond Marching band?
I’m auditioning soon, but I’m not super fantastic, I guess you could say I’m your average player, and I’ve only started about two years ago. What are the acceptance rates of getting into the band?
I am not the final word here, but my son and DIL went to Temple. If you are a Music Ed major with an instrumental concentration, you are *required* to be in the band. If there are instruments that cannot be filled by audition, and you are experienced, a good player, and needed, then you are offered a scholarship (he had a friend who had Army Band experience, and played trumpet – worked for him.) As far an being a *walk-on* like you – auditioning because you WANT to get it – I have no idea. Good luck!
