Bikes: You can pick up a bike on rent and take the Gold Coast Oceanway, which is a 36km pathway made for pedestrians and bikers only.
Attractions in the Gold Coast
Gold coast is all about beaches and more beaches. The 40km coastline consists of 30 beaches where you can sunbathe and swim as well. But the best place in all of Gold Coast is the Surfer’s Paradise where surfing is at its best between October and March. Surfer’s Paradise is quite a long beach and you will find beach patrols and flags at certain points. It is always advisable to swim in the flagged areas because the flags are set as a precaution or warning most commonly against visiting sharks. Most often than not, the beach is jam packed. If you are looking for something less busy then a 5 minute drive will take you to Broadbeach, which will have the same surf conditions as the Surfer’s paradise but is much less crowded. The other popular beaches include the North Burleigh and Burleigh Heads.
Some of the other attractions in the Gold Coast include Tallebudgeera Creek, Currumbin – a lagoon-cross-beach, Kirra, Greenmount beach, Rainbow Bay, and Snapper Rocks. Other places to checkout include the Sea World with several species of marine animals, a Traditional theme park alled Dreamworld, Wet’n'Wild, WhiteWater World, and the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
