Dragons in the East
While Europe's shining knights spent his life killing the dragons, the Chinese sought and worshiped Eastern dragons as the most benevolent, wise and generous of all creatures. In fact, to be called "dragon face" was a great honor, and it was believed that emperors received counsel and aid of the dragons when needed. A few emperors even proudly claimed to be direct descendants of dragons. Combinations between humans and dragons are considered possible, because the dragons were able to change its shape and size to take any shape you want.
Unlike the ferocious dragons treasure of the West and demanded virtuous young women as sacrifices, the dragons of legend China has shown a sensitivity for human beings, and even acted in its name several times, sometimes at great expense. This is one of the oldest Legends of the four dragons. According to legend, once China had no rivers. People rely on the gods to send rain for their crops. A one-year rule of the gods, Yu-Huang-Shang-Ti, or the Jade Emperor did not send rain in season. As the harvest began wither and die, people looked to the sky for help.
In the East Sea lived four dragons who had heard the cries of hunger, and was filled with compassion. Forward who left his home at ease under the water and searched the powerful Jade Emperor. On behalf of starving people, then pleaded with the dragon emperor to send rain and save crops. But the emperor was not satisfied with dragons and refused application. Undeterred by the cruel and selfish emperor, the dragons have developed a plan to create a storm of rain and save the villagers. Run home in the East Sea, which collected water and sprayed into the sky. The water fell like raindrops on crops, and people jumped for joy, hope.
But when the god of the sea, the Jade Emperor said the Dragons had the emperor was very angry. How dare you rebel dragons against his word! He was in charge of all affairs of heaven, earth and sea, and he did not like his authority to be questioned. Dragons have been arrested and taken to the heavenly palace. Then the Jade Emperor ordered the god of the mountain separate the four dragons in different corners of the country and imprison each under a mountain.
The four dragons repent, and the mountains you click on it, even thought a new form that could help people. Thus, each dragon transformed into a river, which winds its mountain of return of prison and their cultures. The Black Dragon has become the northern tip Heilongjiang, yellow dragon and dragon long in central China became the Huanghe and Changjiang (Yangtze), and the dragon pearl in the south became Zhu. And this, according to legend, is how the four great rivers of China have been trained.
As the old adage, the four dragons, water and rain is often associated with dragons in the East. It is estimated that if the dragons exist in all storms and the water pool. Although sometimes caused heavy rains that destroyed houses, uprooted trees and flooded residents, never the Chinese consider the dragon to be malicious.
