Is is appropriate to wear diamond jewelry to a job interview?
I inherited a one caret diamond solitare, diamond stud earrings and a diamond necklace that I wear everyday, along with my own wedding rings containing diamonds. I don’t want people to think that I am wealthy, but wonder if I should take them off to go to a job interview. I am currently unemployed and have had several interviews but still no job a year later. Are interviewers “put off” by my jewelry?
It may depend on the job, but I think the employer would be more concerned with the way you present the ways you will be a valuable asset to the company.
