to heck with the comment of saving money – i think the diamond is vastly overrated and i prefer sapphires to diamonds. i had my diamond and sapphire ring long before the princess did – in fact, once her ring was shown all our friends phoned and teased us about diana scooping my ring!
as for your choices, i think they are both beautiful. for myself i like the second one as i am not a tiny petite kinda gal and it would just suit my hand better and i prefer it just because it is different and not everyone would have it.
