Salicylic Acid is a colorless organic acid derived from the bark of the willow tree. It has been revered by man for centuries as a cure for many things, such as aches and pains, reducing fever and as an anti-inflammatory agent. Not until recently were it’s amazing skin helping properties discovered. It has been used to help treat everything from, psoriasis, calluses, corns, warts and most importantly Acne.
You may have seen that many men’s skin care products have salicylic acid in them these days. The reason for this is how effective it is in treating acne and other skin blemishes. It works for treating acne and other skin blemishes by causing skin cells to shed more easily, helping open clogged pores, neutralizing bacteria in the pores and under the skin and preventing pores from becoming clogged by constricting the pores.

More is not always better, in fact too much of it can dry out your skin and lead to more acne and blemishes.
So how do you properly use Salicylic acid? Most experts agree that you should use it on your skin more than twice a day. Anymore than that any your gonna over do it and upset your skins natural balance. We recommend that you use a face wash that contains salicylic acid once during your morning shower and to wash your face before you go to sleep. This way your face is clean through out the day and through out the night.
Another great aspect of using Salicylic Acid based products is that they are usually easy on the skin. So men with sensitive skin that have acne or pimples can use it without the fear of drying out there skin or irritating it.
So if you are fighting an uphill battle with acne give a Salicylic Acid based product a try. You have nothing to loses but your acne and pimples and i’m sure that you will have no problem with losing them.
