Silver Ice

Buying Tips For Purchasing Ice Rink Tarps
During the many years I have been in the tarpaulin business I have seen so many uses for this very inexpensive and versatile product. Whether it is as a low cost Blue Poly tarp or the more expensive Super Heavy Duty Tarps, folks have found so many ingenious ways of using a tarp. One of the more popular uses especially at this time of year is for the white heavy duty tarp, these are used for constructing an ice rinks in the back yard or whichever location you may want to choose.
Tarps are imported in to the USA in vast quantities with many different qualities and colors on offer. However, at this time of year it’s likely that most importers will be taking in many containers of large white heavy duty tarps ready for the forthcoming cold winter in the northern states. White Heavy duty tarps are ideal products to use for making an Ice rink during the winter months with sizes up to 100ft x100ft, this enables people to make quite large ice rinks at a very low cost. Most consumers purchase the white heavy duty tarp as it blends well into the color of the frozen ice so therefore looking quite esthetically pleasing. Although blue poly tarps will do the job very well it’s usually difficult to get more than one season use out of the lower quality blue poly tarps.
Many vendors offer white poly tarps at competitive prices and they can deliver them inexpensively with the many efficient trucking companies that operate throughout the USA. Most white heavy duty tarps are supplied with reinforced hems and grommets at every one yard, or the better quality heavy duty white tarps have grommets at every eighteen inches and also have reinforced corners. When purchasing tarps for ice rinks remember that most of the larger vendors who are usually the importer themselves, have large quantities of silver heavy duty tarps which are equally suitable for making ice rinks. Remember in this case you may be able to drive a good deal with the supplier as most customers prefer white. Although I can see no reason why not a silver tarp will look as esthetically pleasing when in use as an ice rink construction.
Other than renting a machine to dig a hole and filling the proposed ice rink with thousands of gallons of water the overall cost should be quite low, furthermore if the tarpaulin is looked after it can be cleaned and stored for use year after year.
