REDEFINING BUSINESS WITH RETAIL STEEL BUILDINGS
As more and more retailers shift to retail steel buildings to house their business, one needs to understand whether steel buildings for retailers is just a passing fad or is it something that is redefining the way retail industry works. This is an important question to answer for the retail marketers because of the tight market competition they face from a variety of sources like other retailers and online retailers. High quality service, best products at the lowest price is every retailer’s dream for attracting customers. It turns out that retail steel buildings help you accomplish just this.
Steel provides for a cheap alternative for your building and therefore is invaluable in terms of differentiation from competitors. The reason for this is that with steel retail buildings, you immediately save on the material costs. Steel is structurally one of the strongest materials you can ever use to construct your building and thus it requires lesser material to build the same structure with steel than with other traditional building materials. In addition, Prefab Steel Buildings are extremely easy to fix up. With prefab steel structures, you just need to put the structure together onsite of your retail building. This can be done with little or no labor, and thus you save a lot on the labor front as well.
Retail steel buildings help the retailer not only on the cost front but also in flexibility. As the market changes and it changes very fast in today’s modern times, a retailer needs to be able to scale up and down according to the demand. In addition, if required, some degree of flexibility is always desirable during certain periods of time. Wouldn’t it be great if your retail store could simply expand to twice its capacity on Black Friday? Well, this is the level of flexibility that steel provides. You can modify your existing plans easily and efficiently due to the Prefabricated Steel Buildings structure that steel buildings operate under. Also, the very initial design can be highly customized to suit your needs. You can choose the exteriors, the colors and texture of your walls and also the interiors – how you would want the whole place to look like. As research in retail marketing points out, the placement of items is extremely essential, and you can shift around and try out a few different combinations to see the final effect. This is easy to do in a steel retail building.
Steel retail buildings are also easy on the operating cost front. Steel structures are fireproof and rate very high on earthquake resistance. They are also very high on weathering all kinds of weather conditions. This naturally results in lower premium on insurance, and it helps your retail store by keeping everything inside safe. Also, steel buildings naturally regulate the temperature inside, helping you reduce your heating and cooling costs. There are too many benefits that steel buildings offer to retailers, and therefore retail steel buildings are here to stay and will be the future of retail marketing.

is it within code to use black steel pipe on a hot water heater water feed line?
I just saw that there is black steel pipe on my hot water heater water feeds, both cold and hot. I am a sprinkler fitter and know that black steel pipe gets very nasty on the inside and I am woundering if it is sanitary to use on a domestic water line since I have a child less than two years old.
I agree with the above.
Steel pipe was and has been used for water lines for many years before the development of copper.. It is not recommended due to rust and the ability to scale. The primary purpose for steel pipe is gas, hydronic heating, steam, and as you well know sprinkler systems.
I also do not recommend galvanized pipe, though also used for water pipe for many years. Because the minerals in the water react with the galvanizing material and form scale, which builds up over time and will eventually clog the pipe (especially lime).
I am not a fan of PVC, or CPVC due to the possibility of chemical leakage into water. More is coming out about this now through many studies. PVC is inexpensive.
Even when piping a water heater to PVC I will use copper stand offs on both the hot and cold water lines. I would recommend at least 12″. this is done due to the breakdown off plastic close to a heat source. In past years there have been a lot off problems with PVC and CPVC dip tubes on the cold water inlet of water heaters.
Personally knowing your piping skills I would recommend replacing with copper, and do not use lead base solder.
In the meantime I would also suggest a spigot mounted carbon water filter.
