Is my nose piercing infected?
So here’s the deal
I got a nose piercing about 2 or 3 months ago
i never had pain or swelling and it never caused me problems
i constantly twisted and took out and replaced my nose jewelry
and nothing happened
just this week i put in a sterling silver nose hoop
and it started to hurt
i have no problems with silver
in fact, my other ring is silver also with a black coating
but now my nose is sensitive to touch
and its red and hurts really bad
and i dont know what to do
i put hydrogen peroxide on it
and neosporin
but im really worried
i dont want to just remove it
what do i do?
Look, all these people are crazy.
They would only know if they themselves have their noses pierced.
And they’re just hating. People on here only have two solutions: “NO!” & “TAKE IT OUT!”
Okay. I have both sides of my nose pierced, [both nostrils] and have had them for 4 years now.
They NEVER close up no matter how long i have my rings out. [studs]
Well, when i put a ring [hoop] in. They get sore and tender to touch.
So it’s not just you, and it’s not infected.
The thing with a loop is, because it curves, it puts a strain on the existing hole you already have. Which is straight.
So, i know it sucks, but your best bet is to take the loop and and replece it with a stud again.
Leave the stud in and the tenderness should go away.
Stop using peroxide and Neosporin.
Just clean it with antibacterial handsoap.
