Secret Mason led many people to strange and bizarre beliefs about Freemasonry. Often people think it's an invitation and I think those who are required to have a family member in the fraternity before it can be accepted.
The truth behind joining the Masons, that it should first seek to join. No person has been invited to join the Freemasons, the first step must be made by the person to call you. It's a simple rule, but it is important.

Knights Templar Rosicrucian Freemason connection?
I asked many people the weather or non-Masons have nothing to do with the occult (Traditional knowledge) and some say yes, others say not. It seems as if many Freemasons give false information on their beliefs? For example, some Masons say that you must be monotheistic. If this is the case, then why do many members of the Freemasons as members of other hidden, such as the Rosicrucians. I myself am a member of the Rosicrucian Order. The Rosicrucian Order is an ancient society and philosophical introduction. Our meetings are sometimes held in Masonic lodges .. There is no conflict of interest. While some Masons have no connection with the facts or do not intentionally give misinformation to keep things hidden?
I am a member IOGT under the Sinclair family in Scotland. Templars fleeing France in the family married Sinclair. The Rosicrucians and the Illuminati continues in the work of the Templars.
