Black Tomato’s guide to alternative luxury honeymoons: the Philippines

Not too much is known about the Philippines, which is surprising when you consider how incredibly stunning it is. Sprinkled between China and Indonesia, this cluster of tiny islands features some of the most impressive tropical scenery on the planet, which makes it an ideal undiscovered luxury destination for a sizzling winter honeymoon. Here’s Black Tomato’s guide to these immaculate romantic islands:

For the ultimate luxury honeymoon it has to be Pamalican Island. This speck of an island boasts empty white sand beaches, coral reefs and a seriously understated luxe vibe: This is the ultimate go-to for post-wedding peace and unparalleled privacy.

If green virgin forests and mangrove swamps are more your thing we’d like to introduce Palawan Island. Palawan’s pristine coastline is a diver’s haven. Take the plunge all over again as you meet the tropical life below the surface.

For unusual scenery look no further than the hilly isle of Bohol (home to the last living descendants of the “tattooed ones”), home to over 1200 cone shaped hills known as the ‘chocolate hills’ so called due to the colour they go in the summer months. Swap the flip flops for practical footwear to trek this surreal landscape.

Ok, so it wouldn’t be a truly luxurious honeymoon without one final beach stop: Step onto the sands of the liveliest of the Philippines’ islands: Boracay. End your honeymoon in true celebration style at one of Boracay’s legendary beach parties.

Which is better for a Drip System ~ A Garden Hose or the lil Thin Black Holey Hoses?

I have a small creek bed that Im work’g on to run dowhill also deepen & widen’d. The rain water runs off of my neighbor’s property & onto mine, & floods our road to where my neighbors cant get out. So I have to do something.
My 3 ideas all include a retain’g pond, a re~circulation system w/ a pump, pvc, a spout & river rock. Only 2 of them would use a drip system.
My neighbor bought the expensive black hoses w/ the holes in them for her drip system & they’re alreay dry~rot’g from the heat here (100 ~ 130). Granted it doesnt rain here in Arizona, but yet they r dry~rotting.
So which would b better to use~ Garden Hoses ~the real heavy stuff or the 1 Black Hose that’s really tiny w/ a bubbler on the end (dont forget the dirt here isnt Ur every day stuff. It gets heavy & hardens to cement type substance. I already broke a shovel here), or the other Black Hose that’s thick & full of holes?

Thin Black Holey Hoses? If you mean soaker hoses; yes, they do seem to deteriorate faster in strong UV environments.
I’ve used drip systems extensively in hot, strong sun conditions. Use the 1/2″ feeder pipe with drippers or the low flow sprinklers (extended with the “tiny hoses”) and I think you’ll have good results.
